It is a simple walk through comfortable, rural gravel roads, among fields and olive groves, full of old olive trees of unusual shapes. It is an excellent choice if you want to enjoy the peace, tranquility, nature and legacy of Minoan and Byzantine times. You probably will not meet any tourists on the route. This trail gives a big variety of extraordinary landscapes. For most of the walk we will be accompanied by a view of the Kedros 1777mnpm massif and the tops of the Ida Mountains with the highest peak of Crete 2456mnpm. The traditional village of Apodoulou and Agia Paraskevi, Byzantine churches and the unvisited Minoan settlement from 1600 are also an advantage.
